We are excited to announce that undefeated professional boxer Jonny Mansour will be visiting us during the festival this Sunday at 5 PM

EL CAJON, Calif. — Undefeated professional boxer Jonny Mansour continues to make noise in the ring and beyond it. Fresh off another impressive victory, Mansour reflected on a thrilling fight, his role as a promoter, and the motivation driving his rapid rise in boxing.

Recently, Mansour met boxing legend and promoter Oscar De La Hoya, a moment he described as deeply meaningful.

“The coolest part was that he recognized me,” Mansour said. “He came up, congratulated me, and told me to keep it going—turn everything into positive fuel.”

The connection went beyond boxing. Mansour and De La Hoya share a personal bond through loss, as both lost their mothers to cancer.

“He won an Olympic gold medal for his mom,” Mansour said. “I lost my mom to cancer, too. Hearing how he fought through that inspired me during one of the hardest times in my life. To share a real conversation with him—that was special.”

Looking ahead, Mansour hinted at a potential fight in Detroit, where a large Chaldean community could provide a strong home crowd atmosphere.
